Kinesiology is a holistic therapy in which muscle response testing is used to identify the root cause of any un-ease in the body, and natural corrections are offered to restore balance.
All corrections are specifically chosen for their effectiveness, safety and simplicity. These can be structural, nutritional, emotional or electrical in nature, as explained below.
My approach to kinesiology is very gentle and sessions are designed to be relaxing.

My overarching belief is that good emotional health is incredibly important, and that emotions/trauma can underpin dis-ease.
I love working with emotions, and can provide support with past trauma as well as goal-setting and planning for the future.
When working with emotions in a kinesiology appointment, testing can be carried out while thinking through any concerns rather than verbalising them should this feel easier.
I stock Bach Flower Remedies and several Australian Bush Flower Remedies, which can help to restore balance quickly.
Kinesiology is great for looking at intolerances and toxicities.
I have several nutritional test kits, including vials from Epigenetics, New Roots, Cytoplan, BioNutri and Precision Health, so that we can efficiently determine which supplements will best suit your genetic makeup.
We can also test supplements that you already have and work out whether they are providing the right benefit for your body. In doing so, kinesiology becomes very cost-effective.
When looking at toxicities, I make sure that the key organs involved in elimination are balanced, ensuring that any supplements taken at home will work effectively.
The body's electrical system includes the nervous and meridian systems.
In kinesiology, electrical corrections can include acupressure and meridian tracing, based on the Chinese five element theory, as well as grounding and centering.
Whilst often overlooked, these corrections are believed to be fundamental in healing, and can provide a big impact on your health.
Kinesiology looks at the relationship between muscles, bones and joints.
George Goodheart, the founder of applied kinesiology, was a chiropractor. Therefore, some of the corrections used naturally stem from chiropractic techniques.
When looking at injuries and pain, kinesiology can help to determine whether the root cause is structural, nutritional, emotional or electrical.
Kinesiology sessions take place in our friendly clinic setting, nestled by the river, in the heart of Pangbourne, West Berkshire.
Following an initial chat and review of your health questionnaire, muscle testing will be carried out on a massage table.

Please allow an hour and a half for your initial appointment and an hour thereafter.
When treating children we work at their pace, and treatments can last 30 minutes to an hour.
All ages can benefit from kinesiology. I have found it to be a wonderful gentle therapy for my children and have used it since birth.
It is advised to wear comfortable clothing to allow for a range of movement.
